To put it in the most simple terms, the role of the CCBC is to protect and educate the public, whereas the BCCA works to serve the interests of chiropractors and the chiropractic profession. The CCBC is a body that was created through the BC Health Professions Act and which is accountable to the Government of British Columbia (Ministry of Health). The members of the BCCA sponsor memberships for chiropractic students registered at an accredited school of chiropractic. These memberships are in place to help provide students with guidance and information they need to begin and succeed in their chiropractic career in British Columbia.
