Discipline Finding - Under Section 37.1 of the Health Professions Act, Dr. Michael Horowitz admitted to creating a website concerning consultations and prescriptions for orthotics which contained information that was false, inaccurate and misleading, and therefore, was in violation of section 85(2) of the College’s Bylaws. Based on that admission, Dr. Horowitz consented to an order from the Inquiry Committee (1) reprimanding him, and requiring that he (2) pay a fine of $2,000, (3) undertake to submit his new and altered advertising and marketing materials to the College for review over a two-year period, and (4) pay costs of $550.
