CCRF Executive Director Dr. Allan Gotlib Retires

The BC Chiropractic Association congratulates Dr. Allan Gotlib on his recent retirement!Best known for his involvement in chiropractic research, Dr. Allan Gotlib was instrumental in the progressive development and expansion of the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) and developed many academic relationships through university-based research chair and professorship opportunities. He is a past full professor at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and functioned as Director of Research Programs for the Canadian Chiropractic Association and Editor of the Journal of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, a role that he has embraced for over 28 years.Dr. Gotlib participated in countless professional committees including the Executive Committee for the Canadian Cochrane Network and Center (CCN/C), CIHR President’s Voluntary Sector Committee, President of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Transitional Council of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, Deputy Judges Council in Ontario, and bencher on the Law Society of Upper Canada.In 2012, Dr. Gotlib also appointed as Member to the Order of Canada for his continuous efforts to further health care for all Canadians through research and education. Other past awards encompass both provincial and national recognition such as the 2006 Ontario Chiropractor of the Year award, the 2007 Canadian Chiropractic Association Medal of Merit and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College’s highest academic award “The Homewood Professorship” in 2007 and 2008.We wish him all the best with retirement!
