Newly updated www.bcchiro.com needs your input for patient-focused content The BCCA/BCCC recently launched its newly redesigned web site, providing a sneak preview to attendees at the AGM. Given the diverse visitor groups to the site (members, patients, government and media), it was necessary to make some design modifications to better address the needs of each group. Overall visits to the site and length of time spent are steadily increasing each month. However, certain public sections of the site are receiving less traffic. These sections include News & Views, Frequently Asked Questions, and Where Does It Hurt. Although the decline could be attributed to repeat visitors who have already read the material in these sections, our web statistic reports show that we are also receiving many new visitors who are not spending much time in these sections of the site. After conducting an informal survey, we found that many visitors felt the site lacked detailed information about chiropractic from the patient's perspective. For example, what are some common ailments that can benefit from chiropractic treatment and how are they specifically treated? What are the various methods of treatment, explained in terms that the public could understand? What types of questions do your patients ask on a regular basis? What issues within the profession do you want your patients to be aware of and respond to? The BCCA would like your help in further developing the public sections of its web site. We've enclosed a short questionnaire in this edition of the Contact for your input. Please take a moment to provide your feedback on these issues, and fax us your responses as soon as possible. If you have misplaced the enclosed form, please contact the BCCA at 604-270-1332. Thank you for your help. < Return to Library
