Chiropractors of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows join forces to educate people in their community about chiropractic.
As part of their marketing efforts, the Ridge Meadows Chiropractic Society recently participated in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Home Show, which boasted attendance of approximately 40,000.
Hosting a ten by twenty foot booth in the Wellness section of the show, the booth featured custom-made, professional information boards focusing on frequently asked questions including “What is chiropractic?”, “Who can benefit from chiropractic?”, and “What is an Adjustment?”. The booth also included two SEMG computers for spinal scans (a big attraction for visitors), one television playing the BCCA video “Your Spine, Your Health”, and one television with the Digital Messenger patient education system running on it.
Their hard work earned them the award of Best Booth for Community or Joint Effort. “Our efforts were extremely well received by the public. Many people commented on the fact that they were impressed by all the chiropractors working together, and by the high quality of our presentation,” says Ridge Meadows Chiropractic Society member Dr. Jason Casey. “The booth was designed so that we can use it for similar events — a mall information centre, a community event, or even at an open house inside a particular doctor's office.” The group has more community cooperative events planned for the future, including several exciting seminars.
