BCCA Volunteers Needed The mission of the BCCA is “to provide information and services that meet the members’ short and long term needs, as related to the practice of chiropractic within the province of British Columbia”. Part of these services includes ongoing education of chiropractic heath care to the public, employers and insurers. In order to meet this objective, the Association Board is putting together several informal committees to work on various projects. In an effort to increase member involvement in the Association, we are asking for volunteers to work on the following committees: External Relations; Membership Surveys; BCCC Research; Continuing Education; AGM 2002; AGM Manual; Government Relations and BCCA Public Mission Statement. Some External Relations Committee tasks that need to be addressed as soon as possible include: developing information pamphlets targeted to employers and patients regarding Extended Health Care Benefits; a pamphlet targeted to patients regarding ICBC; and a brochure targeted to Occupational Health and Safety coordinators in relation to injured workers. To become a volunteer, please contact the Association office at 604-270-1332 and specify which committee you are interested in working on. A chairperson will be selected to help coordinate tasks among committee members. We would like to thank those who are presently volunteering their time on behalf of Association members.
