Research Awards

The College of Chiropractors of British Columbia (CCBC) approved a project for the purposes of developing information on standards of care and outcomes. The process is to create clinical case studies that meet the standards for publication in appropriate peer reviewed journals including the JCCA, JMPT, Spine, British Medical Journal, and other specific topic journals.

This process gives the CCBC the opportunity to provide documentation relevant to the scope of practice, promote publishing of research directly associated with patient safety and add to clinical guidelines applicable to all health professionals and the public.

As a result of this program, several CCBC members have received an award for their research papers over the years. Congratulations to:

Dr. Jerome Fryer - Preliminary investigation into a seated unloading movement strategy for the lumbar spine: A pilot study

Dr. Larry Merritt - The gym ball as a chair for the back pain patient: A two case report

Dr. Clayton Campbell

Dr. Alain Desaulniers
