Extended Health Plan Benefits

Extended health plan benefits will often reimburse for fees not covered by the B.C. Medical Services Plan. This information is available from your employer. Receipts are available from your chiropractic office and should be sent to your extended health benefits carrier. Consult your employer for required reimbursement forms. Pacific Blue Cross provides most extended health insurance through employee benefit programs or individual purchase. No referral is required to consult a chiropractor.

DVA / RCMP

Veterans and RCMP members are both eligible for health benefits including office fees and X-ray fees when attending a chiropractic doctor. Forms are usually available from DVA or RCMP and should be taken to your chiropractic doctor for completion. No referral is required to consult a chiropractic doctor.

WorkSafeBC

Legislation provides coverage for office visits and X-rays provided for work-related injuries. Workers are covered for wage loss benefits, and no referral is required to see your chiropractic doctor. Injured persons should consult their chiropractor immediately following injury for care and completion of WorkSafeBC claim reporting. No referral is required to consult a chiropractor.

ICBC

Persons injured in a car crash should contact their chiropractic doctor as soon as possible. Early care supports injury recovery. For information on the BCCA car crash injury recovery program click here or consult your family chiropractor. Coverage includes office visits and diagnostic imaging for injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents. No referral is required. If you have a lawyer your chiropractor will provide, upon your lawyer's request, a medical legal report and attend court as required by your lawyer or ICBC.
